Born in Bochum I grew up in the Hanseatic town of Lübeck. As a child, I painted and drew my daily life and hopes like a diary. Although attracted by artistic studies, I eventually decided to study Spanish, Philosophy and Economics at the Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany.
After studying I started working as a project manager in a large company. Maternity and then the Covid crisis revived my vocation and my desire for freedom. I returned to painting and trained in the arts. Until recently, I worked in a small graphic design agency, giving new life to my dreams.
Observant, creative and passionate, I find refuge in my painting, all nuance and poetry. With a style combining the softness of Impressionism and the sensitivity of Expressionism, I depict abstract landscapes in warm, pleasant hues. On canvas I use the quick-drying properties of acrylic to play with light and contrast. Applying the colours with broad strokes while maintaining fluid transitions between tones, for the sky for example. An admirer of the works of Liebermann, Turner and Corinth, I am most inspired by the creative, visionary art of Van Gogh. I do also appreciate the modern geometric approach of Sarah Gayle Carter.
